CREATIVE CONCERTS

  Classical pianist Sam Rotman has presented concerts and given his testimony in sixty-two countries. Both the concerts and the testimonies have been outstanding. Trained at Juilliard School, he averages one hundred concerts each year. We had the privilege of hearing him at Fourth Baptist Christian School recently where he played for both the students and the Golden Agers . The selections were interesting to both young and old as he provided introductions which helped the audience anticipate and listen closely to what he played. Mr. Rotman accepted Christ during his years at Juilliard though the testimony of fellow students who encouraged him to read the New Testament. Coming from a Jewish home, that was a challenge, but he became a committed Christian and in every concert eagerly shares how God has worked in his life through Jesus Christ. CREATIVE MEN'S FELLOWSHIP

  Men need fellowship and food. Or maybe that should be food and fellowship. Pastor Tim Graham and Cornerstone Baptist Church of Pine Island, MN, offer both in large quantities. They are hosting the Minnesota Baptist Association Men’s Fall Fellowship this Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11. The meeting begins with Charcoal Grilled Sirloin Steaks at 6:00 p.m. Friday night. It just keeps getting better from there. Offering spiritual insight this year will be Pastor David Stertz from North Branch, MN, and Pastor Joel Albright, from St. Francis. Their topics, designed to encourage Christian growth and fellowship, will be “The Godly Man on Sunday,” and “The Godly Man Monday-Saturday.” A variety of workshops on “Preparing a Devotional,” “How to Guide My Son Through Culture’s Madness,” “How the Gospel Showed Up at the Workplace,” “Archery Hunting,” and “Homemade Pizza in an Ooni” will round out the activities.
