The Storyteller's Bible: Arranged for Four Voices

The scripts in The Storyteller’s Bible can be used in a variety of settings. Individual scenes are appropriate as parts of Christmas or Easter programs. They can be used to introduce a sermon series or Sunday school lessons. The eight parts cover the entire scope of scripture. Using parts one through eight over an eight-week period will expose listeners to the entire story of the Bible. This could be done in a youth group, on a Sunday night or all in one day with a break in the middle for lunch. Such a dramatic presentation of the entire scope of the Bible will have a lasting impact on those who listen as well as those who perform. Using the scripts in family devotions, one scene at a time, will introduce children to the meta-narrative of the Bible. An eight-week adult Bible study series will provide an introduction to the entire Bible in a brief period of time. Four individuals who desire a greater understanding of the story of God revealed in His book, could read the scripts together for their own enjoyment and profit. School children could prepare scenes from the book for delivery in speech classes or competition. The scenes, read by class members, could provide short devotional introductions to school days. Families could record various scenes and send them to relatives or friends as gifts, showing the ability of children to communicate, while at the same time sharing the truth of God’s Word.
