CREATIVE MINISTRY
During college days, Marc Moffitt and I spent an enjoyable and profitable summer working with Pastor Larry Hufhand in Tipton, Indiana. That was soon after his arrival at First Baptist of Tipton, a church he served for forty-one years. The time spent under his ministry remains one of the highlights of my college years.
Pastor Hufhand also served as the state representative of the Indiana Fundamental Baptist Fellowship for eight years. He was called to preach while a college student at Bob Jones University and later studied at Grace Theological Seminary under Dr. Alva J. McClain. For the past two years he has been the pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Noblesville, Indiana, still preaching regularly at 88 years of age.
“I have been happily married to the same woman for 66 years,” he writes.
Soon after retiring from the church in Tipton, Pastor Hufhand began writing the Hufhand Report, a weekly post about current events, prayer, humor, and personal observations on life. To receive the Hufhand Report you can contact him at drldhmlh@sbcglobal.net.
