AMAZING ORATORIO

The radio in our car is almost constantly tuned to classical music stations. Carmen and I would have loved to live in the days of Handel and Mozart. This coming October 29 we look forward to experience a similar thrill at the performance of Abraham: An Oratorio for Worship.

Deo Cantamus of Minnesota will present Abraham at 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Fourth Baptist Church of Plymouth, Minnesota. Contemporary composer Dr. Joshua Bauder has written this sacred concert piece for soloists, chorus, and orchestra. “It dramatizes the biblical story of Abraham, a man called by God to found a new people, through whom the whole world will be blessed.”

Composer Lloyd Larson writes, “Director Al Hawkins is a skilled conductor who brings out the very best in these talented singers.” The goal of Abraham is to make the message of God’s faithfulness even more relevant in our chaotic and hard-hearted world.

Advance tickets for the concert are now available at www.DeoCantamus.org, and will also be available at the door on Saturday, October 29. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear sacred, classical music from a talented composer, director and ensemble.
